Rental Questions & Guidelines

What is required for eligibility?

  • Established credit.
  • Good rental history over the past 12 months.
  • Stable income: Gross monthly income is used to calculate the maximum rent payment that applicants can afford. GCRA staff will help applicants with these calculations.
  • Good employment history.
  • A SLED background check will be used to verify eligibility.

How long will it take to process my application?

  • After you send in or bring your application, it will take approximately two to four weeks to process.
  • Once processing is complete, the applicant will be contacted.

What units are available?

  • New and renovated units.
  • Units available throughout Greenville County, including the municipalities of Fountain Inn, Greer, Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Travelers Rest.
