In consultation with the SC Department of Archives and History (SC DAH), the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA) has developed design guidelines for the Woodside Cotton Mill Village - a neighborhood listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1986. The design guidelines, developed by the Jaeger Company, an architectural and historic preservation firm, serve to facilitate housing rehabilitation and new construction while maintaining the historic character of the village. Interested parties may review the design guidelines document by clicking here (part 1) and here (part 2). A hard copy of the design guidelines is also available for public review Monday through Friday (except holidays) between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the GCRA offices located in County Square at 301 University Ridge, Suite 2500, Greenville, SC 29601.
The approved design elevations for new housing construction activities are provided below for review. You can click any small thumbnail image to view it larger.
