April 17: GCRA Presents Affordable Housing Study to County Council

GCRA today presented the Greenville County Affordable Housing Study to the Ad Hoc Affordable Housing County Council Subcommittee.   The Study prepared by Charles Buki, czb, llc, provided County Council with valuable information regarding the availability of affordable rental and homeowner housing throughout the County.  The Study basically concluded that because of a growing population and a relatively static wage environment for low and moderate-income families, the ability to find affordable decent housing for individuals or families making less than $30,000 was difficult or impossible in the County.

In addition, the Study made several recommendations as to steps the County could take to alleviate the problem in the future.  GCRA will be providing the Ad Hoc Committee and Council additional information in the near future.  For further information please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
